ISO/IEC 42001 addresses an artificial intelligence management system (AIMS). Choose Foundation to understand the system, Lead Implementer to help establish and operate it, or Lead Auditor to assess it against the standard’s requirements.
An AI management-system course is different from general AI skills training or a technical model evaluation. An individual credential also does not certify a company or prove that a particular AI system is safe. Match the course to the responsibility you will actually hold.
You need a shared understanding of AI management-system responsibilities.
You will coordinate the establishment or improvement of an AIMS.
You need to evaluate an AIMS through a structured audit.
Illustrative example: a business is introducing AI governance across product, compliance and internal audit teams.
Product and governance owners could consider Lead Implementer for establishing processes. Team members who need a common vocabulary could consider Foundation. Auditors evaluating the management system could consider Lead Auditor. Keep implementation responsibility and audit objectivity clear when assigning roles.
